Storefront

How it's built

A real website written for your store, not a theme.

Agents write your site's code from your description, so any design or feature you can explain can be built. You never touch a file.

Example request

Add a “Find your size” button to every clothing page that suggests a size from our size chart.

Frameworks

The first time you open the preview on a new store, pick a framework. All three build the same storefront, but the choice is permanent; starting work without choosing uses Next.js.

Next.jsThe most popular choice, and the default. A safe pick.
SvelteKitLightweight and quick to load.
RemixBuilt on web standards, clean and reliable.

Live data

Your site loads products, prices and stock from your store on every page view; nothing is copied into the code. The cart, checkout and features like reviews and search use the same connection, so orders land on your Orders page.

Workspace and hosting

While you build, your site lives in a private workspace shared by every chat on the store. It saves automatically and sleeps after about 15 idle minutes. Published sites run on Prezense's global network with HTTPS, attack protection and automatic scaling, at an address like linen-and-loom.myprezense.com. Your code stays on Prezense and isn't part of data exports.

Previewing & editing

Your real site, beside the chat, visible only to you.

Open the preview from the button at the top right of any chat. It runs on your live data, so you can click through it like a shopper. Switch between Desktop and Mobile, refresh, or publish from the toolbar. After about 15 quiet minutes it pauses; select Wake it up to continue where you left off.

Asking for changes

Describe the result you want, and where: “the homepage banner”, or @ a product. The preview updates as agents work. If something looks wrong, say what you see or attach a screenshot. To undo, ask them to put it back, or rewind the chat. None of this touches your live site.

Example request

On the homepage, make the banner image fill the whole screen and move the “Shop now” button below the headline.

Testing checkout

The preview only uses a Stripe test key, so add one in Settings → Store → Payments, then pay with a test card such as 4242 4242 4242 4242. Test orders appear on your Orders page. Your live site uses your main key. See Payments.

Publishing

Put what's in the preview live.

Use the Publish button, or ask agents. Asking first checks that tracking, live data, order tracking, returns and cart pages and the checkout fraud check are in place, and offers to build anything missing. The button skips these checks, so ask “Is my store ready to go live?” before your first publish.

A publish takes a few minutes in the background. Your live site stays up throughout, and a failed publish changes nothing. Add your main Stripe key before launch so checkout can take payments.

Your address

The first publish gives your store a permanent address from its name, such as linen-and-loom.myprezense.com. Later publishes update the same address. The Publish menu also lets you take your store offline, download your data or close it.

Rolling back

The version before your latest publish is kept ready. Choose Roll back from the Publish menu, or ask agents, and your live site switches instantly. Only one version back is kept; rolling back again returns to the latest. Your preview and store data aren't affected, so fix the problem in the preview and publish again.

Site updates

Store data and hosting update by themselves. Your code only changes when you ask: when a new framework version is out, a bar in the preview offers Update. Agents upgrade the site in the preview and fix anything affected; you check it and publish. Ask agents to update the Prezense SDK or add new features the same way.

Custom domains

An address of your own, such as yourbrand.com.

A connected domain becomes your main address, with the www version and HTTPS set up automatically. Your myprezense.com address redirects to it. Whole domains only, not subdomains like shop.yourbrand.com.

Buying a domain

Ask agents for a name; they check availability and price and suggest alternatives. Purchases always need approval and can't be refunded, so check the spelling. Bought domains renew automatically and keep your details private.

Using your own domain

Ask agents to connect it. They copy your existing settings and give you two nameservers to set at your provider, which also proves ownership. If the domain handles email, ask to see the copied records and check them against your email provider before switching.

Example request

I own linenandloom.com through GoDaddy. Connect it to my store.

Managing domains

Domains belong to your account. Connect several to one store and choose the main one, move a domain between stores, or disconnect it; all ask for approval. Agents can also add DNS records, for example for email. See every domain under Publishing in the sidebar.
